Your Privacy Matters
At Knotiq, we believe your personal information belongs to you.
We design our products to collect only the information necessary to provide the functionality you expect. We do not build products around advertising, selling personal information, or tracking your behavior across websites or apps.
Our goal is simple: provide useful products while respecting your privacy.
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Knotiq website, Knotiq products and services, including the Pulse application, and any communications you have with Knotiq.
Information We Collect
We may collect information you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, support requests, feedback, and other information you choose to send us.
Health & Workout Data (Pulse)
Pulse integrates with Apple HealthKit only after you explicitly grant permission.
Depending on the permissions you approve, Pulse may read or write workout-related data such as workouts, heart rate, distance, pace, active energy, workout routes, elapsed time, and other workout metrics supported by Apple Health.
Health permissions are entirely under your control and may be changed or revoked at any time through Apple's Health settings.
Weather Services
Pulse may use one or more third-party weather service providers to provide weather-related features and forecasts.
To retrieve weather information, the app may transmit limited location information, such as your current geographic coordinates or an approximate location, to the weather service. This information is used solely to obtain weather conditions relevant to your workout.
Knotiq does not use weather requests to build advertising profiles or track users across other apps or websites. Third-party weather providers process requests in accordance with their own privacy policies.
How We Use Information
We use information only to:
- Provide and improve our products
- Respond to support requests
- Maintain security and reliability
- Provide weather-aware features
- Communicate important product updates
We do not use your information for targeted advertising.
What We Do Not Do
Knotiq does not:
- Sell your personal information
- Sell your workout data
- Share workout data with advertisers or data brokers
- Build advertising profiles
- Track you across third-party apps or websites for advertising purposes
Data Storage & Retention
Workout information remains within Apple's Health ecosystem unless you choose to export or share it.
Knotiq does not maintain a separate cloud database containing your workout history.
Support communications are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to provide support, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, or improve our services.
Cookies & Website Analytics
The Knotiq website may use essential cookies required for normal website operation. If analytics or additional cookies are introduced, this policy will be updated to explain what is collected, why it is collected, and the choices available to you.
Third-Party Services
Our products may rely on third-party services including Apple (App Store, Apple Health, HealthKit, iCloud), website hosting providers, email delivery providers, payment processors, and weather service providers. Each service operates under its own privacy policy.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information under our control. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is completely secure.
International Transfers
If information is processed outside your country of residence, Knotiq will take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by applicable law.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or request a copy of your information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us if you wish to exercise these rights.
California Privacy Rights
If California law applies to you, you may have additional rights regarding the collection and use of your personal information. Knotiq does not sell personal information.
Children's Privacy
Our products are not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
